A Gold Medal Walkthrough of GTA 5 Mission Number 13 The Jewel Store Job (Smart Approach). In this mission, Michael, and Franklin, with a hired hacker, gunman, and getaway driver rob the Vangelico jewelry store in Rockford Hills area. First, Michael drops off Franklin at the construction site near the store while the gunman and the driver park the Bugstars pest control van in front of the store. Then, Franklin goes to the roof of the construction site and throws a BZ gas grenade into the air intake of the store’s air-conditioning system causing everyone in the store to faint. After that, Franklin goes and gets the getaway bikes while Michael, gunman, and driver go inside the store and steal the jewelry. After that, they come out of the store and police starts chasing them. Franklin, gunman, and driver escape on motorbikes while Michael drives a truck with the hacker to the LS river and waits for the rest fo his crew to arrive there. During the police chase, the gunman, if he’s a cheap one, will crash his bike and drop his take from the heist on the road while entering the LS metro construction tunnel. It’s up to Franklin to pick up his take. This is easy and I don’t see the need to recruit an expensive gunman to prevent this from happening. Inside the tunnel, Franklin and the driver (if he’s the cheap one) will realize that their sports bikes are not ideal for the muddy surface. They will also encounter a small navigation issue. These problems will not occur with a better driver but, I don’t see the need to hire one as these things don’t cause any major complications. After that, Franklin and the driver will come out of the tunnel into the LS river where they get chased by the police. Michael then uses the bull-bars on the truck he’s driving to smash the police cars chasing his accomplices. After the group evades the police, they load the bikes into the truck and go to meet Lester. After the meeting, this mission comes to end. After the end of this mission, Franklin’s seen talking to Tanisha on his cell phone while sitting in the Vanilla Unicorn strip club. To get a gold medal in this mission, you’ve to achieve the following:
1.) Quick Grab – Steal all the jewelry in less than 50 seconds. The trick here is to use Micahel’s special ability when moving between the jewelry cases. Also, don’t pay attention to how much time your hacker tells you’ve got left. But, make sure you don’t hear your hacker telling you that you’ve run out of time.
2.) Protégé Protected – You’ve to make sure that Franklin survives the police chase.
3.) Clean Sweep – Steal the all the jewelry in the store. There are 20 glass jewelry cases in the store to steal jewelry from.
