A Gold Medal Walkthrough of GTA 5 Mission Number 28 The Merryweather Heist (Freighter Approach). This mission starts with Trevor making Floyd give him a massage while Wade is cleaning Floyd’s house. Then, Michael arrives and has a conversation with Trevor. Moments later, Franklin comes in, and Trevor explains his heist plan to Michael and Franklin. After that, Trevor drives Franklin to the Miriam Turner Overpass where Franklin gets positioned as a sniper to cover Michael at the ship. On the way, Trevor and Franklin talk about the heist and Merryweather. After that, Michael climbs up the cargo ship from a small boat. After that, Michael starts planting sticky bombs on different locations across the ship. While doing so, Michael and Franklin kill all the Merryweather guards getting in Michael’s way to avoid detection by them which would result in an alarm going off, and, a gunfight afterward. After planting three sticky bombs, Michael goes inside the vessel’s stern to plant the fourth one. Upon entering the ship’s stern, Michael gets spotted by a Merryweather guard, and a gunfight breaks out between Franklin and several Merryweather guards on the ground below his position. Meanwhile, Michael is inside the ship’s stern planting the fourth sticky bomb. After Franklin kills all of the Merryweather guards attacking him from the ground below him, a Merryweather helicopter comes and attacks Franklin. After that, Franklin shoots down the pilot of the Merryweather helicopter attacking him and causes it to crash. After that, Michael gets out of the ship’s stern and finds himself in a gun battle with Merryweather guards at the ship. After that, Franklin kills all of the Merryweather guards attacking Michael. After that, Michael jumps off the deck of the vessel. After that, Franklin triggers the bombs using his cell phone. The explosions sank the ship. After that, Micahel dives and searches the ship’s wreckage for the ‘thing’ that Trevor wants to steal. After Michael finds the ‘thing’, Trevor picks it up off the ocean floor using the submarine he stole earlier. After that, Trevor pilots the submarine to the other side of the Los Santos Port where Floyd, using a crane, pulls it out of the water and loads it on a trailer. After that, Lester arrives and reveals that the ‘thing’ Trevor stole is an experimental super weapon and that it’s in the best interest of him, and everyone else he ever knew to return it. After that, Floyd and Lester leave with the trailer to drop the ‘thing’ back into the ship’s wreckage. After that, Michael and Franklin leave Trevor, and this mission comes to an end. Following are the requirements for getting a gold medal in this mission:
1.) Headshots – Kill 12 or more enemies (Merryweather guards) with a headshot.
2.) Accuracy – You’ve to complete this mission with more than 80% shooting accuracy.
3.) Ninja – Kill 12 or more enemies using stealth attacks.
4.) Container Hunter – Find the container (the ‘thing’ Trevor wants to steal) in under a minute.
5.) No Alarms – Make sure that no alarms get triggered before Michael enters the ship’s stern.
For the first two gold medal requirements mentioned above, I would advise you to aim for headshots.
For the third and fifth gold medal requirement given above, I recommend using Michael because of his special capacity and good stealth.
