A Gold Medal Walkthrough of GTA 5 Mission Number 21 Dead Man Walking. In this mission, Michael goes to Galileo Observatory and meets FIB agent Dave Norton. During their meeting, Michael admits to Dave that he’s the one behind the Vangelico Jewelry Store heist and dares Dave to arrest him which Dave refuses. Dave then, asks Michael for a favor which Michael initially refuses but later agrees. After that, Dave shows Michael a photograph of a man named Ferdinand Kerimov and tells Michael that Ferdinand has information that will put Dave and his seniors at FIB out of circulation. According to the IAA (agency), Ferdinand is dead and his body is at the Coroner’s office in Strawberry area. The FIB, however, thinks that Ferdinand is alive and the agency has him put somewhere else. So, Dave needs Michael to get inside the Coroner’s office which has been locked down by the IAA to prevent an intrusion and verify if Ferdinand is dead or not. After that, Michael asks Dave how will he get into the Coroner’s office. Dave answers by knocking Michael out by hitting him with a nightstick on his head. As Michael is losing his consciousness, Dave tells him to play dead and to call him when he wakes up. After that, Michael wakes up in a closed body-bag. Immediately after that, two men open his body-bag and start preparing to perform his autopsy. After that, Michael jumps up and knocks out one of the men preparing to do his autopsy while the other one runs away. After this, Michael puts some clothes on and finds an IAA man searching for him. Michael sneaks up on him, knocks him out, and procures his gun. After that, Michael checks out the dead bodies at the morgue and finds out that the tag with the name Ferdinand Kerimov is on a big black lady which means Ferdinand is alive. After that, Michael calls Dave and shares his findings with him. After that, Dave tells Michael that the agency has the lower floors locked down so, he has to escape from the top floor. After that, Michael engages in a gun battle with IAA men and just when he was about to start climbing the stairs to go to the top floor, he receives a text message from Dave telling him that his weapons are in a trash bag in the evidence room on the top floor. After that, Michael goes to the top floor, killing several IAA men on the way. At the top floor, he finds his weapons in a trash bag as told by Dave and he engages in another gunfight with some more IAA men. After that, Michael jumps off the top floor from a window into a dumpster. Coming out of the dumpster, Michael finds that the police is after him. After evading the police, he calls and tells Franklin to meet him at the Oil Derricks in the El Burro Heights area. After that, Michael calls Dave who tells him to meet his boss at the plaza between the FIB and the IAA building. Hearing this, Michael questions the meeting’s venue and Dave tells him that the IAA never expects an inside job so, he shouldn’t worry. After that, Michael meets Franklin and tells him to leave Los Santos for some time so that Franklin doesn’t end up in a dangerous situation. After that, Franklin tells Michael that he will stay in Los Santos and help Michael because Michael helped him with his monetary difficulty. To get a gold medal in this mission, you’ve to accomplish the following:
1.) Accuracy – Complete this mission with a shooting accuracy of at least 70%.
2.) Headshots – Kill 14 or more enemies (IAA employees) with a headshot.
3.) Time – You’ve to finish this mission in less than 9 minutes and 30 seconds. This mission doesn’t seem to account for some, if not all, of the cutscenes in the overall mission time. So, it can be done in time without skipping any of them.
4.) Focused Killer – Kill 4 or more enemies while using Michael’s special ability.
5.) Unmarked – Complete this mission with minimum damage to Michael’s health and armor.
I recommend using Michael’s special capability generously during this mission, as it helps in fulfilling all the requirements for getting a gold medal.
