The following video is a Gold Medal Walkthrough of GTA 5 Mission Number 5 Father/Son. In this mission, Franklin visits Michael at his house to have a beer that Michael offered him during Mission Number 3 Complications. They have a conversation and then leave for a bar nearby that Michael likes taking Michael’s wife Amanda’s car. Just as they were leaving the house, Michael gets a call from his son Jimmy. It turned out that Jimmy needed money and hence tried selling Michael’s boat but the guys to whom Jimmy tried selling the boat stole it, and now, the boat is in a trailer traveling down the Western Highway with Jimmy hiding in the vessel’s head. After knowing this, Michael and Franklin go to rescue Jimmy and recover Michael’s boat. They catch the trailer with the boat and chase it down the highway. Then, Franklin jumps off from the bonnet of the car and boards the boat to rescue Jimmy. During the process, Franklin faces resistance from the guys stealing the boat but, he overcomes it with Michael’s help. Then Jimmy gets into a dangerous situation and is saved by Michael. After Jimmy gets into the car, Franklin jumps off the trailer and back onto the bonnet of the car and then gets inside the car. After that, as Michael and Franklin were about to start rescuing the boat, the engine of their vehicle fails as the thieves had shot it previously when the duo was trying to save Jimmy. Next, Michael drives to the Los Santos Customs Auto Shop near the Airport and leaves for his house in a taxi. Then, Franklin gets Amanda’s car repaired and then drives it back to Michael’s house along with Jimmy as a passenger.
After this mission, Jimmy gets unlocked in the game’s director mode.
To achieve a gold medal in this mission, you’ve to accomplish the following:
1.) Quick Catch – Catch Jimmy in less than ten seconds.
2.) Not A Scratch – Deliver Amanda’s car back to Michael’s house without causing any damage to it. This mission is quite sensitive regarding this, and if you drop the car back with any visible damage like scratches or dents or broken lights, you won’t get a gold medal. From experience, I can tell you that you can get away with some light damage as long as it’s invisible. I hope you’ll enjoy watching the video.
